A commentary on global brands

The McDonalds experiance in Italy should be the same as the McDonalds experience anywhere else in the world, right?  I mean, it is supposed to be a global brand.  Or maybe not.

Why, why, why are they charging me 20 cents for a pack of ketchup?  Is a large fry really 2.30 Euro!?!  And why can't I have a cup of tap water for free??

How very disappointing!  To have a global brand means to be consistent globally, no?

Sad. Sad. Sad.  Someone at McD's should be thinking these things through.
